Winterthur native Martin Akeret, alias Popshop, has been feeding the hungry of this world since 1997 with all kinds of synthetic appetizers that quickly win over the taste buds of electro gourmets thanks to their original touch. Reduced Detroit influences on the one hand and sugar-sweet Italo disco references on the other are the cornerstones of Popshop’s multifaceted sound cosmos, which does not adhere to restrictive genre limitations, but knows how to convince through its integrative power. With his new album «Geometry For Broken People», he returns to Raygun Records (Hamburg) and, thanks to his powerful, original tracks with rhythmically layered soundscapes, beautiful synthesizer sounds and Acid-303, provides the next fine pleasure.
